About Us

Mission Statement

 

The Jewish Educators Association is a non-profit organization comprised of synagogue educators in Orange County and Long Beach that  provides professional development, learning opportunities and collegial support to enhance our congregations’ educational programs.

Teacher Support

The Jewish Educators Association of Orange County supports over 11 supplementary Religious School and Hebrew School teachers through a variety of professional  learning opportunities each year.

The Jewish Educators Association was founded in 1971 by Samuel Nissan, z"l, and has grown into an organization that supports the educators of nine local congregations. JEA of Orange County received non-profit status as a charity in 2020.
